Next Ex is a synth-pop band from Bucharest, Romania. They have been working together for their first album for almost 2 years, and they released their first single in July, 2016, called Hey Girl (Self-conscious talk). Later that year they released their second single, Close, which triggered the attention with a performance video shot on one of the tallest buildings in Bucharest. At the beginning of 2017, NEXT EX released a new track called Superhero, and also their first official video. Currently, all 3 tracks are in heavy rotation at the most important radio stations from Bucharest and other cities.
They chose this name for their band after realizing that their main source of inspiration, when it comes to songwriting, lies in their personal experiences. They believe that every experience that is about to happen, instantly becomes part of the past. It’s a matter of time before every “next” becomes an “ex”. Their motto is “Life experiences translated into music.” The members feel grateful for having the opportunity to share their stories with the whole world, hoping that they will touch the ones who feel the same.
